I have an Infopath 2010 browser enabled form working with SharePoint 2010. In our organization, some users are beginning to migrate to Office/Infopath 2013. At this time, there is not a set date for upgrade to SharePoint 2013. Nothing has changed with the Infopath 2010 or SharePoint 2010 setup.

Users with Office/Infopath 2010 have no troubles and their forms open in the browser by default, as expected. However, the users who have migrated to Office/Infopath 2013 are experiencing issues. The main issue is that forms open in their Infopath 2013 client. Consequently, by only opening in the Infopath 2013 client, they have lost ability to use People Picker fields.

I have looked online and do see there are some compatibility issues with Infopath 2013 usage in a SharePoint 2010 environment. But, I have not found anything specific to browser enabled 2010 forms. Is there a setting in the Office 2013 that is causing the Infopath 2013 users' forms to open in the client rather than browser?

Any suggestions appreciated....Thanks!
