Hi Everyone,

I have decided to use a Macro in an Excel sheet that retrieves and organizes the data from the library via .iqy file instead, which works perfectly. This is an interesting problem though that appears to be impossible to solve with an out of the box approach. If it hasn't been attempted before in this forum, it would be interesting to see if anyone can come up with a way of achieving this in InfoPath/SharePoint.

Best Regards

Meves,

Can you please share this macro? I am having the same exact issue.

Regards,

I have an InfoPath 2007 form, which users fill in to create orders that contains a repeating table for multiple items to be ordered at one supplier. The form also creates a continuous purchase order number, which serves as a unique identifier to the orders created. These two functionalities are working fine.

However, when the form is submitted to the SharePoint 2010 form library, the data in the repeated tables only appear merged together (I set the promotion properties of the fields in the repeating table as "merged" - if set to "First", only data from the fields in the first table appear). Consequently, excel puts the contents of two order items into one cell. The problem is, is that I require an Excel Extract of the form library containing these forms, with each ordered item on an individual row. It does not seem possible to create a Macro in Excel to seperate the data into the respective rows, as there is no unique symbol between the data.

For further reference, please refer to the examples below (I will try to upload screenshots as soon as possible):

Current Situation (in SharePoint Data Sheet view and in Excel Extract):

ROW 1: Purchase Form “A”, Ordered Item “1 & 2”
Desired Result:
