Merge Documents missing in the list of available library views

Greetings:

I have a form library within a SharePoint 2010 site collection for which I want to use the form merging operation. I was able to do this a few months ago but just noticed now that the "Merge Documents" library view is no longer available in the dropdown list of views. I know that merging is still working because I can replace the existing view with Combine.aspx in the URL and it all works fine, but I don't want my users to have to do this.

Can anyone tell my why this view suddenly disappeared and, more importantly, how to get it back?
