Problem with Merge Documents

I have an existing Forms Library and Infopath template file. All is working fine.
Then I crreated a new blank Forms Library, modified (just added 2 more fields and some code) the InfoPath template pointing to the new library in Main Submit data source
Saved and published that template
Created 3 forms: 1^st by opening local XML file and clicking Submit; 2^nd standard way - from SharePoint “New” option; 3rd from SharePoint upload forms function

All created successfully and point to the new template; all can be viewed forms from SharePoint by clicking them but Merge Documents doesn't work. Here is the error message I get:

"The document(s) could not be merged.
The required application may not be installed properly, or the template for this document library cannot be opened.
Please try the following:
1. Check the General Settings for this document library for the name of the template, and install the application necessary
for opening the template. If the application was set to install on first use, run the application and then try creating a new document again.
2. If you have permission to modify the document library, go to General Settings for the library and configure a new template."

What could be wrong?
