Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WftCp_EbcCU

Happy trails,

SharePoint list integration

Hello InfoPath folks,

I'm creating a form in InfoPath 2007 that will be pulling and submitting to a SharePoint list. I have a list that has a fieled which lists multiple single line text field entries. We'll call this list Forms List. I'm using this field in this list to pull into th eform and display the data in a drop menu on the form. Easy enough. Now I have another list that we'll call Form Descriptions with a multi line description field What I'm trying to do is use the form to collect people's descriptions for something. The form has the drop down which has a data connection to the first list, a text box that has a data connection to the field on the Form Descriptions list which we'll call Current Description and another text box where users will enter their data that we'll call Your Description. What I want to do is when the user selects an item from the drop menu, I want the Current Description text box on the form to display any other descriptions that have already been submitted to the Form Descriptions list but only for the item they selected from the drop menu. Then they can use that info as the basis for their description if they chose to, then type their Description in the Your Description text box on the form that will submit a new item to the Form Descriptions list. Anyone have any ideas on how this can be done? I've already created a data connection to the Forms list for the drop menu and a data connection to the Forms Descriptions list but on a text box there's nothing on the control to connect it so it can pull data from a list. I assume it would need to be done with a rule or series of rules but the drop menu has many items in it so I was hoping I could control what displays in the Current Descriptions text box with 1 or only a few rules. Is that possible? Another thing to consider is that when the form is launched the Form Descriptions list will be empty until users start to submit their descriptions so there's that element as well. Thanks.
