Thank you so much for responding. Not to appear stupid, but I can't find InfoPath Filler.

When I click on Windows Start I see Programs; Documents: Settings: Search; Run

I looked under Programs but all I see applicable is Microsoft Office and InfoPath 2007 but no InfoPath Filler....

Am I looking in the wrong place?

How do you know it didn't work? I'm guessing you are opening the form and it doesn't open the new version right? Well, maybe, the new version is really there, but the InfoPath Filler isn't automatically downloading it. Try this: from Windows Start, select InfoPath Filler and when you get the remove the Available Forms dialog (2010) search for the form and right click and Remove it (on 2007, single click select it and click the remove link on the right). Next, close all InfoPath's down (including Designer) and make sure that InfoPath.exe isn't running (check the Windows Task Manager to verify). Now, try to open your form from SharePoint? Does the new version open?

We have seen this caching problem with InfoPath and it is probably one of the most pernicious issues out there. My guess is that it's Internet Explorer related and not related to InfoPath specifically. If the above solves your problem, you won't have to republish.

Cheers!

My Infopath form 'stops' publishing to SharePoint after about 20 updates

I am publishing an Infopath form to a SharePoint site: (my form is NOT browser enabled - and can't be)

I save my form on my shared drive (Ex. Form 1.0)

The first time I publish, I "Publish Form Template" to a "New Document Library". (I am NOT publishing as Site Content). Everything works perfectly.

Each time I edit the design form, I save it as a new version on my shared drive (ex. Form 1.1). And then I re-publish and "Update the existing document library". The new form is there and works perfectly.

After approximately 20 times, the form no longer publishes...there are no error messages so you don't know that it didn't update until you realize that the changes you are making on the new version are simply not there.

At that point, I have to create a New Document Library in order to be able to use the new version of the form.

Does anyone know why it would simply stop publishing?

Thanks
