I want the Safety Team Member to be able to edit their view, but have read only access to the Supervisor view (and vice-versa). I can not find where I can set a view as read only based on a users role.

Also, I have made a button on each view to switch views...if I set the view as read only will this button still be active?

Sorry for all the questions...but THANK YOU very much for the help!

Re: Create a link in InfoPath forms in separate libraries

Can you clarify the process? For example

step 1 - Supervisor fills out Accident form (Safety Team has no access)

step 2 - Safety Team member fills out Investigation form (supervisor has no access)

step 3 - ?

step 4 - ?

etc.

It sounds like there may be other user groups/roles involved. If Supervisor has no access to Investigation and Safety Team has no access to Access, then the link is going to be used by a third user, correct?

Also, can you clarify why user roles with view switching didn't work for you? If each user group can only see one view in the form, then you don't need the separate libraries, correct?

Thanks for the additional info.

Create a link in InfoPath forms in separate libraries

I have 2 InfoPath forms...I need to create a link on one form (after it is filled out) to a form in a separate library (after it is filled out).

Accident form is filled out by a Supervisor...and Investigation form is filled out by Safety Team member...different people have permission to create each form. They are in separate libraries because of the permissions.

Is it possible to create a link on the Accident Form that would point to the corresponding Investigation Form?

I have tried creating separate views and assigning roles, but when I publish the form to SharePoint I have to assign permissions to the library and if I give both groups edit access they all can edit both forms.

I am an experienced newbie with InfoPath and SharePoint both, so I know how to do some of this but if it involves coding in any way I'm lost. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
