Isn't that what you want the user to open? The XML will know the location of its template.....

Re: Get a link in a SharePoint workflow to open in Infopath....

That article was helpful, thanks. Closer...

The URL I send in a workflow is the Encoded Absolute.. but I think that is wrong now. This is the form library where the XML are housed:

http://SERVER/forms/Intangible%20Purchase%20Requests/Testing2011-05-17T15_01_11.xml

But I use a content type in this library to refer to this template:

http://SERVER/forms/Form%20Template%20Library/PurchaseRequisitions_Intangible.xsn

How do i get my workflows to open in Infopath? All the examples use FormServer..

Is this needed?

Does it have a Source query parameter included?
I created an expense form in Infopath, that form gets routed back to me and my manager. How do I get the form to open in Infopath and not a browser? The document library is set as open in Client Application, but it is not working.

Am I supposed to be using Encoded Absolute URL or something else? It opens in a browser and I want to force it to open in Infopath.

Thoughts?
