I am a 'newbie' to Infopath and SharePoint 2010 and have an issue regarding setting up a content type hub to share content types, specifically forms, across multiple site collections. So, here is a little background:

- 2 Server farm with a WFE/Application Server and a database server

- One web application with multiple site collections. None of which have the Document ID feature enabled.

- Managed Metadata service is provisioned and our top level portal site is designated as the content type hub. All checkboxes under the Managed Metadata service connection are checked.

So at this point, I think everything is setup so I go to "Manage Publishing for this Content Type" for a content type under our content type hub. I make sure the 'Publish' radio button is selected and I hit ok. I get no errors at this point in the ULS log or the event log on the SharePoint server. I realize at this point that two jobs need to run for the content types to be pushed to our other site collections: Content Type Hub; Content Type Subscriber(web application specific). I run the 'Content Type Hub' job, wait for it to log that it ran, and then ran Content Type Subscriber for that web application. At this point, as I understand it, the content type should have pushed to all of our site collections on that web application. I check the Content type service application error log on the content type hub and there are no errors. I go to a different site collection on the same web application to check the content types and the content type I published is not there.

Any ideas on how to get the content type hub to work?

Thanks,

Jonathan
