I'll take a look at qRules and see how it can help me out.

Thanks again
Yes you have to use a solution like qRules, or create another data sources with your formatting date you probably can do that with codes.

Re: Formatting Date fields from a SharePoint list within an Infopath Form

The underlying date is stored as a string in the XML format which is YYYY-MM-DD. Unfortunately there is no function that will format the date how you want. You'll have to download the free trial of qRules and use FormatDate to set a separate value in your form and then promote that field. Then you should be good to go.

Re: Formatting Date fields from a SharePoint list within an Infopath Form

Hi, have you tried to modify the date format, Right click on your texbox, properties, format, and select the needed format.

Formatting Date fields from a SharePoint list within an Infopath Form

I have a InfoPath form that pulls date info from a SharePoint list. In doing so, InfoPath changes the date from i.e. 3/22/10 to 2010/3/22. So, how to I keep the original date info from SharePoint when it is displayed within an InfoPath form?

I know that you need to add a formula to keep the formatting but I don't know where to start in coming up with the formula?

Any guides that I should take a look at?

Thanks
