Update InfoPath forms to new template

We have a library containing all of our Purchase Orders with a form that automatically creates an ID (concat(20000 + (count(@ID) + 1), initials, chargeTo) is the formula used). Unfortunately, I just realized that the filename being submitted wasn't saved within the form anywhere, which made every form in the library display it's ID as a new ID instead of the filename. Is there any way to grab the filename of the opened form? I've fixed all the new forms made by storing the filename given into a variable that can be accessed later, but I haven't been able to find a way to update the old forms.

Example: Saved form 20001JCCORPIT displays the PO# as 20002JCCORPIT since the PO# is auto-updating & never saved the PO# before submission.
