I will try to describe all that I did and hope it helps.

1. I have a dynamic query that populates queryxml.

2. I then used a field within the main datasource to sum a value in the repeating table and did some calulations.

3. This when queried has the correct value. It is shown as a real number with 2 decimal places.

My question: Is there another way to transfer the data from the query other than the way I did it above?

You can display that in the form (the field would show the data from the 2DS). If you want the data stored in the main DOM and promoted to a column in SharePoint, the value needs to be set.

Without seeing the form template I wouldn't be able to diagnose the problem, but it sounds like the field in the main data source is not receiving the value. What you can do is, before submitting, save the XML locally and open it to check the value stored in the troublesome field. If it doesn't have the value, then you know there's a problem in the transfer of the data from the QueryDB 2DS to the main data source. If it does have the value, then maybe there's a problem in the promotion of the property.

Anyway, hope this helps, and if you're still stuck please attach the xsn (as mentioned in the post above mine). Thanks.

Re: Property Promotion

attach the form template so that we can have a look at it

Property Promotion

Guys, I'm having issues with getting data promoted to my sharepoint site. The data is being queried by QueryDB and then held in a field in the main datasource. The fields are full when the form is saved, but nothing is being uploaded to the Sharepoint site. Any ideas?

Thanks,
