For example, let's say I have an InfoPath form with 3 fields on it. A First name, middle name and last name. Users have been filling this form out for years and they submit it to a SharePoint document library. Say a year later this form changes and it only collects 2 fields. A first name and last name. Users continue to fill out this form and submit it to the SharePoint document library. If I browse to the SharePoint document library and open up the old form it won't show the original data with the 3 fields. It will use the new template with the 2 fields. This makes sense. But I would like the old forms to open with the old template and the new forms to open with the new template. How is it possible to achieve this?
