I bet if you have InfoPath on your machine, you also have Access. You can use Access to create reports from a SharePoint list. Here's an Office Online article with some more information.

Reports using a Sharepoint list?

Hello

Currently I am doing a project that involves SharePoint Lists and InfoPath forms its for an inventory, where users can input the hardware information i.e. for laptop - serial no. , model, make etc..using the InfoPath form and then this data will be submitted or imported to a sharepoint list.

I am currently trying to find out how to create reports from the information users input into the sharepoint list. I have searched the internet but have found a lot of the information to do this to be difficult to follow. I am a new user to both Sharepoint and InfoPath.

There will be only one main list called 'Hardware' and then I have twelve hardware items (this will be a field hardware item) i.e.desktop pcs, laptop. servers, monitors, printers etc...all within that one list. However I believe that sharepoint list can be filitered so a user would be able to only filter the list to only show all laptops.

I am using Sharepoint Server 2007, Version:12.0.0.6421.

I have been asked to undertake this project alone and I am finding it tough and if there is any help at all that you can provide I would be extremely greatful.

Thank you for your time
hope to hear back from you
cjon
