I'm submitting an Infopath form to a form library, after submitting the form,i'm creating a view for the form library where user will be able to see the forms submitted by him/her only. On site login,my name is displaying as current username but when i'm trying to submit a new form,it is showing Created by-"System Account" and not my username. Any help for this problem would be highly appreciated, i have wasted my 2-3 days working on this.

insert a footer in the repeating table and under the growth %age, in the footer put a textbox, and set the default value of this text box to sum (ur column of repeating table). you will need to use sum() function for this. you will also need to check the "update the value when the value of the field is recalculated".

then put validations on this text box.

Yes, i want sum of all the nodes corresponding to that field in the repeating table should not be more than 100%

i am not exactly able to get the problem. Do you want to ensure that the percentage should be 100. and you want datavalidations on this.

Hi Qazi,

i'm having a repeating table where i have one field called Growth percentage,now we can add nodes under it,but sum total of all the nodes should be 100 percent,i tried the validations but nothing is working,do we need to do something special with repeating table..?

Any help would be appreciated..

hello vishal,

yes this is possible, you disable certain sections based on the value in a particular field. promote that field to appear in the list, and check the field that says allow users to edit data in the filed by using a datasheet or properties page.

now when you move it to other location using workflow change the value of this field in the list and it will get reflected in the form also.

Is it possible to disable certain section in infopath form,and on copyng that form to other location using workflow,that section would be enabled...

it seems your data validations are failing after you change the value before submitting. And if you change value after submitting those dont get changes

When i'm trying to change the value of fields before submitting the form,the form is showing processing error as system.exception. Any hint how to do that without getting the error...

hi vishal

i guess u r changing the value to false after submitting the form and this value does not get saved. that is why if you dont close the form it works fine. but if you close and try to again open it, it does not work

you will need to change the value before submitting the form

hi Vishal,

you will need to disable the form first and then upload form in central admin and then enable the form to your site collection .

But this has a problem the columns get created with same name (but actual name is some weird). and you cannot programatically access those. the only solution i could find was create the columns manually and in the infopath form instead of publishing the form use spobjects to update the

I have an infopath form,i'm publishing that form to a local location at 'D' and some folder,then i'm uploading the form template in Central admin,and after that,i'm using that template as one of the content types in Form library.That form is accepting all the changes if i'm making any change to that,but it's fields are not publishing to that form library,to be more clear,i'm publishing one field as "TravelrequestNumber" and giving it a column name "Travel request Number" in form library,but that column name is not created by the form library by itself,when i created that using settings in the form library,it is not accepting the value entered while filling out the form

Any help would be highly appreciated..

Thanks Qazi It helps actually in disabling sections,but on click of one of the button,i'm submitting the form to the form library,and i want to enable sections at the same time on click of that particular button,i put a check box and sets it's value to true by default and on button click through code,i'm changing it's value to false,it is working when i'm keeping the form open after submit,if i'm closing the form after submit,this condition is not working,and none of the sections are becoming visible even after button click.

Any suggestions.
