Have you read Mel's recent blog: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/mel_balsamo/archive/2009/05/18/using-e-mail-forms-to-communicate-with-external-users.aspx

Check out the section called "MANIPULATING FORM VERSIONS"

Filling form offline | Send via Outlook

Hi all,

I want to create an application with InfoPath 2003 and SharePoint 2007. The idea is to give
people outside the chance to fill out a infopath form and send this form to an email (incomming
sharepoint email). So the email will go in the outbox of outlook and will be send at the next
time the user is online.

This works good. But when I go on my SharePoint form library I see that the form template
link is not the path of the sharepoint template. It is the local path where I published the
infopath form for the offline use. How can I handle this whithout a manual relink of the form.

Are there better ways to do this?

Thanks in advance.
