yes, we plan to incorporate workflows too, but at this point we would just settle for viewing what was changed in select fields w/out relying on user comments.

what i'm attaching is simply a rudimentary test doc. i have a more complex form (that is still under development), but at this point i'm just trying to iron out the kinks (w/your help). i don't believe i checked the box for the "zip" field - just promoted it.

Re: Missing InfoPath change property promotion fields in SharePoint history list

Well, we'll have to do some digging, but I can tell you that all of my promoted fields that are allowed for editing in SharePoint do show up in the version history when changed. I'm looking at one of my form libraries now, and one of the things I change with workflows is the workflow status (a value within the form). I have to make this field editable in sharepoint for the workflow to change it. When that value changes, I see it in the version history.

This would lead me to believe that you are not actually doing what you say or think you are doing (not your fault - just part of the dev process). I would need to see your template in order to troubleshoot it quickly. You can attach it to your reply by clicking the Options tab.

Re: Missing InfoPath change property promotion fields in SharePoint history list

warrtalon,

i believe i'm having the same problem. i've promoted fields when publishing my InfoPath 2007 forms to SharePoint/MOSS, and tried checking the box to make them editable too. unfortunately changes made to those select fields still don't show in the version history. everything i've read to date (including the message on the version history page itself included below) leads me to think this should be possible without code. any other suggestions?

"All versions of this item are listed below with the new value of any changed properties."

thanks!

That fields are visible in Sharpoint administration web panel as grey, I think they are separated from normal SP fields and cought from InfoPath. But my problem is that grey fields are not sensitive for any change in a history form - property promotion are not listed as change in that SharePoint history.

For example - after change one field in InfoPath form, save, in SharePoint form history, is information created about change of whole file, but without an information of change this one field (is not specyfic as in other SP document types as Lists) :(

Can any one tell me Why?
