Our SP is setup so that each user has their own login and must sign into the intranet site individually to access or fill out any forms. Each user has their own individual ID and then we also assign a Family ID, this is so that they can obtain individual related items, such as copy of their individual pay stubs, but as a family unit see reports and such that are related to their household. This works fine for items that are hard coded into the SP site, but I am having some problems with form libraries.

The setup:

The form library is set so that the default view is a "My Documents" style with a filters set as:

          Show only if:

"Created by" is equal to [Me]

          or

                "Spouse" is equal to [Me]

When the IP form is opened a hidden field is filled in with the User's spousal SharePoint User name automatically using code. I.e. Created by = User_A, Spouse = User_B

The problem is that when a user of a husband and wife team fills out a form, the spouse cannot see the existing form when they go the the library with the above view filter options. Ex: User A is married to User B. User A signs into SP on Monday morning and goes to the expense reimbursement library fills out the form and submits it. User B, not knowing that their spouse had already done so, goes to the expesne reimbursement site at lunch and also fills out a expense reimbursement form.

What I am trying to do is make it so that when a User fills out a form in an IP library, if they have a spouse, I want it so that spouse can see the form when they go to that same form library in the default "My Documents" view. For whatever reason the filter options as set above are not currently working because, as in the example, User A fills out the form and submits, but User B cannot see it.

This is a dumbed down version of what actually is going on behind the scence in the form, but there is nothing that I can tell that is prohibiting the filter options from working. When you look at a view of the library the options are set so that I can see "Created by" and the "Spouse" columns and both will have names inserted, but only the "Created by" user is able to see the form when they log into the library.

I hope this all makes sense. Any tips or ideas out there?
