1) You can get the year from the Today() using substring(today(),1,4).

2) Set this value to a field in the data source and use that field as the file name while taking the submit connection.

Issue ID and File Name

This is a multipart question:

1) I want to import the IssueID from Sharepoint (this has been answered below and I think I follow how to do this) I then want to combine this with the year (ie 2008-X where X is the IssueID from MOSS. Anyone know how to just get the date in Infopath. there is a Today() function but it seems to return the whole date 2008-12-3. How do you extract the year from the date?

2) I then what to use this info as the file name when saving the template to the MOSS list. My only idea on this one is to write a script or can MOSS do this?

Any ideas?
