But you can put a hyperlink to the template afterwards that people can use without being aware of the DL if that fits your needs.

Re: Publish form to sharepoint without doc library

Thx Clay,

so how would I go about publishing a browser based form to the form templates library without the need for admin approval? I have been publishing to a network location, then uploading that into the form templates library, but that doesnt allow the form to be browser based, when I select "open in browser" is says there is an error. ( i know the form is fine, because its only a test form, very basic and works when admin approved). I have been into the library settings and selected "open in browser".

Thx
Steve

Re: Publish form to sharepoint without doc library

You can publish a form and then link to it from another place and therefor obscure the library. So the user clicks on a link and never sees the library.

And you can use cenrtral admin as you described. Forms can be published in SharepOint but have no submit to Sharepoint, such as email like you mentioned.

Publish form to sharepoint without doc library

Hi, I'm pretty new to infopath, but have developer and published a couple forms to sharepoint in a doc library.

I wanted to be able to publish browser based forms, that have email only submit option to sharepoint without a doc library. I would like them in the Form Template folder, but when publish the form from infopath, upload it to the library i cant open in a browser. The only way I found to do this was to publish from infopath using the required administrator approval, then go into sharepoint central admin and do it that way.

Is there anyway I can allow users to create infopath forms, upload them to sharepoint and them work? The forms dont have any managed code.

Thx
