Different method is required for either option.

I should say this...you cannot reference and therefore change a promoted property or indeed a field within InfoPath unless it is first populated. Therefore use defults and mark fields as 'data required'. You can get aorund this using the underlying schema when using BizTalk 2006.

Re: SharePoint 2007 Work Flow and InfoPath

Hi Michael,

You should be able to use InfoPath 2003 with SharePoint 2007 workflows since it uses promoted properties from the forms (which was supported in InfoPath 2003) to manage the workflow states. There may be some features that aren't working for 2003 and in general, you're better off using InfoPath 2007 with SharePoint 2007.

To learn about SharePoint 2007 workflows, I would suggest looking for a lab on MSDN. Microsoft gave some good presentations at last year's TechEd conference in Orlando. You should search on those too.

SharePoint 2007 Work Flow and InfoPath
Can InfoPath 2003 be implemented and submitted to SharePoint 2007 Work Flow or will InfoPath 2007 work better. I also heard SharePoint 2007 comes with a form now. How do I get training on SharePoint 2007 Work Flow?
