This method returns you caliculated columns also.

This will give data in "string;#dsfasDF" format, means "datatype;#value"

Re: Pulling CALCULATED Sharepoint List Values

I just realized that I should have clarified something further. The InfoPath form is setup so that when the user selects the "Item Name" form a drop down menu, the additional fields are automatically populated for that item (ie. Unit of Measure, Purchase Price, Sale Price, etc).

I have set this form up to successfully pull and populate the data from an .xml file but it is the Sharepoint list that I am having specific problems with.

Thanks!

Pulling CALCULATED Sharepoint List Values

I have read over the excellent tutorial/how-to on populating drop-down menus from Sharepoint lists and found it extremely helpfull. However, I seem to have run into some issues when trying to apply the instructions within that tutorial/how-to to Sharepoint lists with "Calculated" fields. I have detailed my scenario below and would like to thank all respondents in advance for their suggestions and insight!

I am currently making a material database on our Sharepoint Server for a construction company. Each material entry lists basic information such as the stock number, name, purchase price, etc.

Each item has three prices associated with it:
1 - The item price less tax (as shown on our vendor invoices)
2 - The item price plus tax (to show an accurate purchase price)
3 - The item price plust tax and markup (to show an accurate sale price for invoicing customers)

I have setup the Sharepoint form associated with this material list so that when (1) is entered, (2) and (3) are automatically calculated. I found that this method was the fastest and most effective way to enter new items into the list (in comparison to manually calculating the tax and markup price on a calculator and then entering them into the appropriate form fields).

Since these fields are calculated, I cannot (or am not aware of how to) pull the values directly from Sharepoint list for (2) & (3). Does anyone have any insight into how I could accomplish this?
