That's easier than creating a SharePoint event handler. There might be an easier way to do it with SharePoint 2007, but for 2003 I'd just have the e-mail submit as part of the submit. You can chain the actions to first submit to SharePoint and the send e-mail (assuming the SharePoint submit was successful). You'll have to either hardcode the public folder e-mail address, or use some dynamic rules in the form (in case you have multiple ones) or you could just do the distribution as part of the workflow on the Exchange server.

Good luck!

Infopath workflow

Hi,

I'm working on a Change control system - I've created the Infopath form and successfully published it to Sharepoint. I now need to create a Workflow system where the owner of the Change Request needs to then get an email where they can approve or decline the request. I'm running Windows Server 2003, with Sharepoint 2003 and Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise.

I've downloaded and successfully installed the Exchange SDK from Microsoft's website and created a Project. But how does the Form get from Sharepoint to the Public folder where the SDK workflow project will need to control who gets emailed once the form is submitted (the workflow app will need to query the form for an email address stored in a field for the recipient approver).

Any help would be great

Phil
