You can download the beta2 though and try it out if you like:

WSS 2007<br /http://download.microsoft.com/download/A/7/7/A7780E67-F21A-4265-A445-8EF1F19D223F/SharePoint_setup.exe

hth

Re: Max columns allowed in sharepont from infopath

what about recoding the .net in sharepoint? Unfortunately I do not know .net, but that is the achitecture that sharepoint is built on.

but that is just a wild guess.

The reason i bring it up is because i was told that a function could be coded with .net that would allow better user alerts functionality. One that would tie in with the lookup column within sharepoint and outlook.

Re: Max columns allowed in sharepont from infopath

I dont think we can unrestrict the number of columns.
We have limit on number of columns, in this also we have limitation on number of columns for each DataType.

If you find anything please post here.
Max columns allowed in sharepont from infopath

I have one infopath form that takes care of a multitude of functions and data, the form is comprised of 4 views, and at least 300 fields where data could possibly be stored.

The form is published to a sharepoint library and lists specific sets of information depending on the view the user has selected.

My problem is that I have 300 fields with data that i would possibly want to show in a list and sharepoint will not show them all.

So when i publish the form I have the option to add every field of data to the list, but when i get to sharepoint not ever field is included, due to out of box limitations.

is there any way to unrestrict these limitations and possibly give me 300 different fields to create views with in sharepoint?

yes the form has 300 fields however each view will only need to pull about 20 columns. I am using the sharepoint lists to create end of the month reports.
