The way to get around this as Greg says. An easy way is to go to the "Explorer View" in the library. Click on one of the files, then Ctrl-A to select all. Then Ctrl-C to copy all the files to a folder on your desktop. Then delete them all from the SharePoint library. Then copy all the files back to the SharePoint library. This will force repromote all the properties.

The problem with using the "Relink" view under Modify Settings and Columns is that view won't show all your files.

Re: Column Promotion

There's apparently a way to "relink" each of the forms in the library which should regenerate the values. The other option is to save all of the files out to a local folder and then upload them all back.

Column Promotion

Hey guys,

I have a SharePoint form library where I have recently updated the form template. Problem is that after I updated the template the columns that I promoted to show in the default view of the library went missing. I simply republised the form specifying the proper columns. No big deal. However, all the forms that were already in the library before the new template was published don't have the promoted columns published.

My question is, how can I populate that infomation again? I am not shy about having to create an application to do this work for me.

And before anyones asks, it the exact same schema as before. I can open any of the previously posted XML files and they all work fine.

I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

Thanks,

Tom
