No, secondary data sources cannot be cached locally. This would be incredibly unrealistic if you were using a database several terebytes big as a 2DS.

One method would be to use XML documents as your data storage and include them into the XSN of your form template.

---------------
Matt Faus
InfoPath Dev Texas
Offline Use of SharePoint List

Hi list. I am new to the forum. I've been working extensively in InfoPath for the last month and figured out all kinds of neat things.

I was about 80% finished with the current InfoPath solution I am developing when I was made aware of a new requirement - the InfoPath form needs to be available to users offline.

Here's the problem. The form leverages 3 different SharePoint lists as data sources that are used in drop-down boxes throughout form. When users go offline, and the form is loaded, they get an error saying that the form cannot connect to SharePoint.

Is there some way that users can cache the form, including the contents of the three data sources, while they are online, and then go offline to access the form contents?
