I think we can figure this out but it might require a live meeting or something. Maybe you can send me e-mail with a good time on Thursday or Friday. It has to be a cross domain issue. Case2 sounds like the correct publishing method. Thhis can hose your .NET permissions.

If the site you are trying to access is not in your domain (my guess), then the answer is "yes" - you will have to make your form full trust. You can use RegForm tool or a digital certificate. If you are publishing to SharePoint, I recommend digital certificates, but that requires users install it.

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Re: Cannot open the Infopath form in SharePoint

Is that all I need to do?
I tried but it dint work.
Do I need to make the form Full Trust using Regform tool?
But the problem is that it is an Infopath project using visualStudio. And I can see the form in design mode only when I run the project.

Re: Cannot open the Infopath form in SharePoint

Hi,

You may have to add your URL in the list of Trusted sites in IE.

Regards,

Franck Dauché

Cannot open the Infopath form in SharePoint

I have designed an Infopath form where I use managed code to convert Amount(numeric) to Amount in words.I published it in a SharePoint Form Library.
When I run the project i.e in preview form, the form opens as expected.

Also when I use "localhost" http://localhost:9090/sites/SpeedPortal/test1/Forms/AllItems.aspx) in my SharePoint Portal URL,the form opens as expected.

But if I use the IP Address i.e http://172.29.17.93:9090/sites/SpeedPortal/test1/Forms/AllItems.aspx),
then I get the following error.

"InfoPath cannot open the selected form because of an error in the form's code.
Execution permission cannot be acquired.
"

Should this form be made full trust. If so,is Digital signature a must??

I face lot of security and permission related problems in Infopath. Is there any document where thse issues can be addressed?
