I was trying to automate a simple publish mechanism and happened to see this blog over the internet. I have a working process which isn't clean enough and am looking for a better solution. Could you explain how you read the Template file path right off the Designer, coding for the Add-in?

Re: Automating Publishing Infopath form

Hi Whizzy,
We have started working on this but haven't finished. If you need it done asap, send me some email (sales@infopathdev.com) with some idea of what it's worth to you. Otherwise, we'll have a tool for everyone out on the site for a small fee later this week or next.
Thanks for your support!

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Re: Automating Publishing Infopath form

quote:

Hi Whizzy and welcome to the forum! You can copy the form to the 5 libraries and it will automatically shred the xsn and promote the columns, no problem. For the URL, you'll have to modify the manifest programmatically before publishing. There was recently a good article on the MSDN blog with some example code showing how to do this, but we should probably put a tool on our website.

We'll look into creating a deployment wizard for this scenario over the weekend.

Thanks for your patience.

Patrick Halstead [InfoPath MVP]
InfoPathDev

Thanks for the reply Patrick, by any chance would you have the link to the BLOG that I could check out?

Thanks again.

Re: Automating Publishing Infopath form

Hi Whizzy and welcome to the forum! Publish it to a web service
2. Publish it to 5 sharepoint libraries.

Is it possible to automate the publishing process other than using the wizard.

Its always being published to the same links, just the name of the xsn file is being changed.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
