I am new to sharepoint. I think am going to have issues with admin. Currently, I am having an issues with sharepoint. When I publish an InfoPath form as a list form, I get asked for my login credentials over and over and have to cancel. The form will not publish but it will go to the recycle bin. So,my workaround is to go to the recycle bin and un-delete the InfoPath form I was trying to publish. When I spoke to my sharepoint administrators, they were completely lost. I had to walk them through the publishing process and at the end I was told that they had no idea what was wrong.

Re: Infopath 2003 to Infopath 2007 Web Browser Form

So - that error & correlation ID need to be given to your SharePoint admin so they can check the ULS logs. You may need to disable loopback check on the server to access SharePoint web services from a browser form - this is not always acceptable on a production server and there are other approaches, but get the correlation ID to the SharePoint admin and they should be able to address this.

Infopath 2003 to Infopath 2007 Web Browser Form

I recently converted an InfoPath 2003 Form that I used to publish as a form library. I converted and saved the form to an InfoPath 2007 Web Browser Form. I’ve been playing with the form and noticed how different these two formats work. I have been able to get most of the form working but I’ve been stuck for three days now trying to figure out why GetUserProfileByName does not work properly. GetUserProfileByName pulls UserName just fine but I can’t figure out how to get LastName, FirstName, or Email. So, substring-after(userName(), "xx") works fine but “concat(Value[Name = "LastName"], ", ", Value[Name = "FirstName"])” does not work at all.

I tried following tutorials (https://claytoncobb.com/2009/06/21/userprofileservice-extended/ and http://eimagine.com/using-infopath-and-the-web-service-getuserprofilebyname/) but they both say to run query GetUserProfileByName when the form is open but that creates a LogID:5566 Error “Correlation ID:17a5589e-68d2-5001-355c-c68bd60879d8”. I also tried creating a button to run running the query once the form has loaded but I get the same error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
