Repeating tables are needed, but insufficient - my sections need to be repeating/optional as well. In another forum, someone pointed out there Microsoft offers no InfoPath app for SharePoint. If I weren't new to Windows 10 and apps, that might have given me a clue to it's toothless nature. Nevertheless, the inability to change property values after creating a New View (i.e., can't change the view name, page size/orientation, etc.) seems especially egregious.

Re: How do I create Groups in InfoPath with SharePoint 365 List

Yeah, customizing a list form has a lot of limitations. That said, I'm not sure why you'd need a group? You can bind a section to any existing field?

How do I create Groups in InfoPath with SharePoint 365 List

I created an InfoPath template starting with an existing SharePoint list and have run into multiple problems.

The chief problem is an inability to create Groups to utilize Optional and Repeating Sections.

The Add Field option is grayed out under myFields. In basic view, definitions available for Add Field are people pickers. Not what I want. Is there a workaround OR do I need to look for another forms builder?

PS: I'm also prevented from changing View properties once they're set up. It makes no sense.
