Yes, it's possible to get it to work on SP2013. The URL in the context.xml file has to point to the top site of the site collection url instead of the server url in 2007. This worked for us.

Regards

Trevor

Re: Active-X people picker not working with SP2013

Hi
Could you fix the problem?
I have the same problem in Sharepoint 2013 after upgrading from Sharepoint 2007.

Active-X people picker not working with SP2013

Hi InfoPath experts

We are currently migrating our SharePoint environment from MOSS2007 to On-Prem SP2013.

We have a lot of InfoPath form projects made in Visual Studio 2008, with managed code behind the forms, and source control in TFS.

We have tried updating these and deploying them from the VS2008 dev environment to the SP2013 server. This seems to work fine, with the exception of the Active-X people pickers, which we have a lot of. These apparently don't work in SP2013 .It seems that the people picker was replaced with a new one in InfoPath2010 and 2013, and I've been advised to replace them with this new control.

Does anybody know of a solution to this such as:

Import the new people picker control into Vs2008 somehow or

Make the active X-control work in SP2013 or

Make some custom or customized version of the people picker which works with both Vs2008 and SP2013?

I really don't want to go to all the trouble of migrating these projects to InfoPath Designer or Visual Studio 2012 or 2013 just because of the people pickers (The newer Visual Studio doesn't support the old project structure and doesn't easily integrate the form designer with the programming tool and source control like VS2008 did).

Any ideas?

Thanks

Trevor
