You should not have to admin approve your template if it just has a simple connection to the userProfileService. In your connection URL, make sure that you use the pathway to your site, with the actual pathway to the subsite you may be on.

Here's a link to an article from a while back: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/bre_huston/archive/2015/02/12/user-profile-service-in-o365.aspx

The set up for 2013 is very similar to O365. If you're still having issues, attach your form and we can take a look.

Hope that helps!
Bre

This will be a pain in the butt to do every time I have a new form. I have never had to do this in the past. Is it not possible to publish a form straight from InfoPath to a SP library or list with SP 2013?

What am I missing here? I have read several "how to's" on this topic but haven't found any that mention why this needs to be done.

Is it possible to set this up so it happens behind the scenes? Such as all InfoPath forms published to a site are auto approved.

Thank you

Scott
