I'm trying to reduce the number of steps needed to manage my data. Is there no solution to where I can simply Submit a form and have the data populate into a spreadsheet located on the SharePoint? I'm looking to go directly from InfoPath form to spreadsheet. I also won't be able to purchase any additional software, I need to work within what can be done with InfoPath, Excel and SharePoint.

EDIT: Additionally, I've come to learn that InfoPath Form Services is not enabled on the SharePoint they've given me, so it looks like I cannot submit to List anyway. /sigh

Any other thoughts? I'm really up a creek with this one.

Thanks,

Re: Can this even be done?

Hello Sephaerius,

One method would be to map the data to a SharePoint list and then export to excel. You should then be able to upload the excel sheet to SharePoint in a Doc Library and use the refresh data to get the latest.

qRules SubmitToSharePointList is the command that you would want to use for this. Here's a tutorial on how to use the command: http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/hilary/archive/2012/06/27/qrules-submittosharepointlist-walkthrough-for-v4-2-working-with-existing-data-amp-submitting-a-single-mapping.aspx

You can download a trial of qRule here: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/qRules_new.aspx

Thanks!
Bre

Can this even be done?

I've been Googling for days, but cannot find exactly what I'm looking for... though in my mind it seems to be a pretty simple idea.

Here's what I hope to accomplish:
I have a form designed in InfoPath 2013 that I would like to submit and have the data populate into an Excel 2013 spreadsheet located on a SharePoint 2013 (Standard license) site. In my form I have 8 fields that the user fills in. Each field represents a Column on an Excel spreadsheet. For each user that submits my form, their data needs to fill in the next row of the spreadsheet. Does that make sense?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you,
