Can you use jScript or VBScript code? If so, then you could put code on a button to load the form xml data into an XMLDOM object with a .save function call which will do what you want.

Re: "Save As" button - today() into a local directory

It sounds like what you want is not Save As, but rather just Save with a predetermined filename. Would you say that's correct?

If so, qRules has a command - SaveToPath - that would probably be just what you need. Unfortunately, any saving to a local disk doesn't use the built-in save functionality (e.g. File->Save) is going to require a full trust form.

For printing, qRules also provides a Print command, that you can use to initiate a print, with or without a print dialog, on the click of on one of the form's buttons. That would also require full trust. How about giving that a try?

"Save As" button - today() into a local directory

Ok....I'm pretty green but I've looked all over the internet and tried many things, but I can't quite put the Save As button together and I'm asking for a little help.

I work with autistic adults and want to make my form as easy as possible with a "Save As" button to a local directory but I'm missing something and can't figure it out.

Concept: The user scans a barcode into a field and it auto advances to the next field. When they are done scanning, I need them to simply click the print form button....which I haven't figured out the "Print" button yet either.....(if you can help with that...cool) then click the "Save As" button to save as the current date in a local "C:\" directory.

I'm just a small place with no server or sharepoint library so using "Data Connection" doesn't work for me....I think..LOL Everything is offline into local directories.

Is this a hard thing or am I just doing far too much research and trying to do more than is needed.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide..
