I have a suite of Infopath 2007 forms (designed for compatiblity with Infopath 2003). The forms are hosted on Sharepoint 2007 server. The forms do range from the farily simple to the quite complex, involving 2-300 fields and up to 2000 lines of code to perform Active Directory searchs and whatnot. The forms in their current state submit to Sharepoint, which makes decisions for us, eventually sending a link to the form to a shared e-mail box. We use the forms to create Remedy tickets to process the user's requests.

It's time to move to the next level and have the forms themselves create the Remedy tickets. In order to do this, I need to send a text e-mail from Sharepoint to the Remedy ticketing system (we need to do this quickly, so we don't have time to have a web-service developed). Unfortunately, this will involve using code (we are using VB Script) to merge the form fields together and build this text e-mail. This has to be done as there are many controls that hide/unhide themselves based on other controls, as well as lots of repeating sections and tables.

I have no issues with writing the code so that the form fields get merged into a few fields to pass into the Sharepoint library, but I've heard that submit rules run before the code, so obviously it won't work very well.

Basically all I need to know is how to submit the form into the Sharepoint library using VB script. What would be really spiffy is if I could point the code to the submit rules, rather than having to build the submit rules that I already have into the code that we'll have to write.
