Please tell them I referred you to their product. I am working on getting credit for another one of their products. I have been very happy with their products, and highly recommend them. Let them know that Tom Berchenbriter Referred you.

Re: Infopath 2010 export to pdf

Hello - we have pretty much the exact same problem here at our organization. We are ready to deploy office 2010 and this problem is going to really hurt us - we have one form where there are multiple PDF exports and this of course is crashing infopath. In addition my pdf gets passed over to a fax server which errors because the infopath process has the file locked.

I downloaded and applied Office 2010 service pack this morning and it does not address this issue. Went through the service pack docs and they did not even address infopath. Sorry but that aint good enough Microsoft.

I am going to try to setup Office 2010 without infopath and see if I can install Infopath 2007- so everything other than infopath will be 2010 and infopath 2007. Not terribly optimisitc that it will be successful.

The second time the user tries to submit the form the .pdf is created but also a print preview window is opened. I believe this is due to the ghost process. After the second submit is process a second ghost process of infopath.exe*32 is present. After about the 3rd or 4th submit attempt the export to .pdf process does not run at all and just a print preview window is open. We are testing on Windows7 x64 bit machines with Office 2010 32-bit version. The code block is below. I have tried variations of submit options and settings as well as adding a thread.sleep command to try and wait for the process to finish before the forms is closed but no matter what it always leaves that ghost infopath.exe*32 process running. If I go in a kill that process in between submit attempts it functions as expected. Any help would or a work around would be greatly appreciatedJeff Murtarijmurtari@foreshadowconsulting.com Public Sub FormEvents_Submit(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As SubmitEventArgs) 'export pdf version If Directory.Exists(custpdfpath) = False Then Directory.CreateDirectory(custpdfpath) End If Me.CurrentView.Export(custpdfpath & ".pdf", ExportFormat.Pdf) e.CancelableArgs.Cancel = False End Sub
