Our Database Accelerator Web Service (DBXL) supports full text search. There's a free trial download and the beginner server license is only $395. Comes with a SharePoint Web Part for searching your forms, or you can do it from the form. Easy as pie. Qdabra.com -> Products -> DBXL -> have fun, save time/money. :)

Writing code will require a Web Service anyway (unless you want to pull all records down and search locally which I don't recommend because of the performance implications). You will either need a stored procedure end point in SQL or your own Web Service. DBXL is a generic Web Service that works with all forms and you can change your form or your DB after the fact since the mapping from XML to SQL is data-driven. Oh, and it will solve world hunger too and bring peace to the Middle East (Just kidding! :).

I have a form that is based on the sql table and using standard search provided in infopath. When I wan't to search for information that is based on text field (varchar...) it won't give any results. Has anyone some experiance how to write a code in c# to manage full text search, that would work no mather if you write the whole word, big or small letter, etc. Thanks for any solutions

With Kind Regards
