IP07 OM uses Microsoft.Office.InfoPath
IP03 OM uses Microsoft.Office.Interop.InfoPath.SemiTrust

Check in your Tools | Form Options | Programming to see if you have "C# (InfoPath 2003 Compatible)" selected.

Error building IP03 compatable forms in VS08

I just installed Visual Studio 2008 and Office 2007 and I am trying to build a InfoPath 2003 compatable form, but I am getting an odd error.

I am following the walkthrough at http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa945289.aspx exactly. When I go to try to debug I get 6 errors that look like this:

C:\HelloWorld\HelloWorld\FormCode.Designer.cs(19,35): error CS0234: The type or namespace name 'InfoPath' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft.Office' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

I'm taking a wild guess that this is how interoperability works in the new 2007 object model. As Microsoft.Office.InfoPath (and System.AddIn and some Microsoft.VisualStudio dll's) are included when targeting InfoPath 2007, which works fine. If I try to include the needed libraries it compiles, but it won't run on Office 2003.

So, whats going on here, and why is VS still trying to include this? And does anyone have a good reference to what Designer.cs is? I have been able to find very little info on it online.

Thanks.

Update: I deleted everything in the Designer.cs file and it seems to work fine now.
