When setting up the submit, under advanced, you can set it to close after submit is complete. But it only closes if submit was successful. So, in the submit event function, set the return value to false and the form stays open; set it to true, and it closes.

Re: Change submit behavior

You can specify in Submit options in InfoPath whether the form closes after submit. I do not remember if this is only after a successful submit or not. I am not sure if you can have a rule on the success of the digital signing or not but certainly in code you could check the condition or errors and close() or not.

Change submit behavior

It is possible to set the form to close, or remain open after a submit.

Is there a way to set this at runtime? I want to set it up so that if the document is not signed when it is submitted it remains open, but if it is signed it is automaticly closed after submission. Is this possible?

Thanks.
