Depends on which methods you use. In general, writing code is a bad practice in the client, since it leads to more maintenance down the road, but it does not require Full Trust deployment. Therefore, it does not require digital certificates. If you are writing a file to the local system, you will have to be Full Trust. In that case, you can just send them an MSI. That will require installing the MSI but that's easier than digital certificates (in my humble opinion).

To Manage Code or Not

I initially thought that I should use VS.Net 2003 with IP 2003, but after reading about the problems associated with deploying the form to a SharePoint site, I am thinking that I should avoid managed code because I do not have a Certificate to Digitally sign the form. Am I misreading the various articles or is my understanding correct?

My project involves creating a file that contains some of the data from the form and I was planning on putting this file on the users PC. Could I do this using script with Domain level security?

TIA
Dean
