It does change based on user but in this instance it is the same user opening the two different views. I will look into further. The actual stored value will be displayed as both Value and DisplayName when no match is found in the options source list.

I am assuming your drop-down is populated from a secondary data source. So my initial inclination is that your data source is somehow different (filtered?) based on the user. The one user has some options that the other user does not.

Still having dropdownlist woes

Hi all,

I have posted several times about this issue but it keeps coming up. I have a form with several views. There is an applicant view, an approval view and an applicant update view. If the approver has a question about something on the form, they can send it back to applicant for clarification. When the applicant opens the form back up in the new view, the dropdownlists (they are in a repeating area and are filled from a data connection) are shown with the value being displayed instead of the DisplayName.

Here are the properties of the dropdown in the Update view.

Category = AccountName[AccountCode = current()]

Value = AccountCode
DisplayName = AccountName

Here is what the dropdown looks like. You can see that the selected value is a system code not the name "Airfare".

Why is this not working? It's driving me crazy.

Rhonda
