I feel like I am finally getting somewhere. Unfortunately, where I do have a button set up and working for the sharepoint portion, how do I create an email datasource with code in it as suggested by the first post? I can create a standard email item, but I am not sure where to add code. Sorry, I am really not a programmer.

Thanks.

Re: Email Forms Assistance

Hi Chris,

Check out code on this links,
<br /http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=69
<br /http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2477
Email Forms Assistance

OK, I would think this to be a simple thing but I have been working on
it for 4 days with no success. First let me state that I am not a
developer and am somewhat new to Infopath so sadly any instructions would need to be in sysadmin terms but I would much appreciate any assistance I can get.

What I have is an Infopath 2003 form that submits wonderfully to my doc library. The form contains a section with checkboxes to indicate the associated business unit. Based upon which items are checked, I want to make the completed form to be converted to an HTML style email and sent to an email address as well as still going to the doc library.

Now for the part that sucks... we are a Lotus Notes shop so I must send this over an SMTP Relay...no Outlook at all. Users getting the email will not need to edit or change the forms in any way. They only need to be able to view the form without having to load Infopath on their systems via their Notes client (Notes version 7).

If someone could provide an example of how to do this, I would be very
grateful. If it helps, I do have some understanding of vbscript and can generally get around in code. I have heard this could be done easiest via a web service, but I have even less idea of how to go about that than I do automating Infopath with scripts lol.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide or links or anything really.

Chris
