I'm doing some kind of a shop in Infopath at the moment. Since i only got a specific quantity of items, i need to set up the quantity for those items and lower it everytime someone buys the item.
The quantity have to be saved permanently, so when i reopen the form, the quantity isn't at its starting value.
Something like this:

Quantity:13 -> Opens Form -> buys item -> Quantity:12 -> closes form -> reopens form -> Quantity still 12

I tried including an Settings file, where the quantity was stored in, but i wasn't able to edit the value of it.
I also tried to store the quantity in an excel table, but i wasn't be able to get it to work. Everytime i wanted to test the form, it crashed.
Is there any feature, that i don't know of, that is built-in and i could use? Since i got some basic knowledge in C# I'm neither scared of code.
Also if you need to know that, it's going to be used as a browser form.

Thanks already,
