Unfortunately InfoPath does not have an option to disable the cancel button or even the dialog box when you submit the form as an e-mail (although there is a thread which discusses removing the dialog box by using code).

An option you can perform is to close the form after submitting, this approach will require using another field to be triggered so that the the flow of action from the set of rules will continue even if submitting has been cancelled. This way, whether the form submits or not, it closes the form. But if you are using SharePoint, you may want to try integrating a workflow. Hope this helps.

Email Data Connection Cancel Button

I have a form that uses a button with rules to submit the form as an email message.

When the user clicks the button to submit the form, the pop-up dialogue box appears as expected.

The user then has the option to click on "send" to continue the submission, or "Cancel".

If the user selects cancel, then the send as email part of the submission is cancelled, however the data is saved to the form and there is no way for me to reset my form status field from submitted to unsubmitted so that the user can try again.

Also the form remains open in that saved state since the submission didn't complete properly and run the last action to close the form.

Is there any way to disable the cancel button? Or reset the form's submitted status and allow the user to submit again?
