the REST data connection is not functional with Office365.

It was
funtional before Service update 1 but there have some ongoing issues.

So for now
the REST data connection has been removed.

There is
no timeline of when this will be implemented and considered to be in working
condition."

Re: Office 365 Excel Services REST connection not working in Browser

Hi Jim,

Just in case anyone else in the Forum is having a issue when using Excel Services REST connections with Office 365

Daizy Shen with the Partner Online Technical Community
Has reporduced asimular issue with Office 365 and InfoPath Excel Services REST connections.
See message below.

I will update when provided a resolution from the Office 365 Support team.

Thanks

Bruce Herz

WonPoint

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your reply!
My previous test did work. To double confirm, I tested again. My form with a REST Connection doesn’t work. Forms without REST connections work. I’ve tested many times this time and all the tests with a REST Connections failed. The error message
" This form cannot be opened in a Web browser. To open this form, use Microsoft InfoPath". The error message is not the same as yours

To move forward, we need to check the logs at the server side to find what’s going on. So as I suggested before, please contact the Office 365 support team to ask for their help to have a check the logs. The contact info can be http://onlinehelp.microsoft.com/en-us/office365-enterprises/ff637572.aspx. Thanks for your understanding!
If you need any help in bridging, please feel free to let me know.
Best regards,
Daizy Shen
Partner Online Technical Community

Re: Office 365 Excel Services REST connection not working in Browser

Hi Jim,

Have you had a chance to lool at the files I emailed to you?

Re: Office 365 Excel Services REST connection not working in Browser

Hi Jim,

Have you had a chance to look at the files I sent to you?

Re: Office 365 Excel Services REST connection not working in Browser

Can you send a copy of the form and workbook you are using? We have created an IP form with rest connections to Excel on O365. Is the data content very large?

Office 365 Excel Services REST connection not working in Browser
