Dynamic UDC file

I am looking for a way to dymanically change a part of my udc file when infopath loads. Or looking for a way to have a form in a test and production site, same collection, but only one template between them. the catch for this one is the connection string to the DB may not be the same.

so is there a way to either mimic the UDC internally to infopath, or dynamically change the connection string, within the UDC, when the form loads?

several issues are security and maintenance. I am looking to single source something. either the way IP loads the UDC or pass the connection string to the UDC when IP loads
