I have found some inconsistencies depending on the type of data source I am using. ODC seems to be least problematic.

I just worked through a field lookup problem. I traced the form and found that the database was returning results but I was not getting them in the form. This was a secondary source. It didn't matter if it was preview or live. Changing the connection from trusted to SQL authentication did the trick. Scary but true! (Luckily, this company wants SQL Auth.) I would suggest playing around with different data source file types.

Form data doesn't update

I recently changed my forms form multiple independent forms to one form with multiple views. The view when opened is dependant on a variable that is checked on form open.

It was brought to my attention that the new forms do not reflect the changes made to the data source, a Microsoft database. The forms are distributed via email and when first mailed and opened, they have the data that was saved when the form was created. If the data is changed however, the forms do not reflect the changes, even if closed and reopened. For some reason, the data is not being refreshed from the database. In the past I added a refresh button so that users could check for the latest data (if more than one person was updating the database). That worked well and the button came over to the new forms but now it doesn't do anything.

I'm at a loss. I've tried recreating the data connection and rebinding some of the controls.

If anyone has thoughts, please let me know.

Thanks.
