Assuming you have a hardcoded SQL-database connection, you have the following options:

use a Web Service to filter - Qdabra.com (sponsor of this site) provides a free trial download of DBXL which will do this

write code in the form to do the query - some SQL client commands require full trust permission which may be another hurdle (if code isn't)

Bottom line: InfoPath doesn't support parameterized filtering of SQL on the client. That's why we developed DBXL back in 2004.

Good luck!

Using AD information to look up data from SQL

I have a form that is conencted to our Active Directory and our Company Management database. When I put in the SQL enabled fields, I get a list of ALL records in the SQL table.

How I want the form to work is to query the current logged in user via the AD connection which then looks up and finds the equivelent record in our database, is this possible?

Regards
