Make sure you insert your fields using the button so that InfoPath adds the correct xpath. You can use single quotes or double quotes to insert the commas. Otherwise, Potemkine is "right on the money".
Edit:You receive your error when you verify your formula or on submit?

try to replace , by ; like :concat(RemedyTicket;",";PrimDev;",";ProjName)

However, I want to place a comma (or space, symbol, etc.) between the 3 fields that I have selected to concat. here is the valid argument that infoPath accepts.

concat(RemedyTicket, PrimDev, ProjName)

when it returns the values of the fields in the file name, it looks like a nonsenscial string with no seperators between the values in the 3 fields. (ie "ticketnumberprimdevinfoprojectnametext")

I would like to insert a charachter between the 3 fields (a comma and/or space), but InfoPath won't accept this syntax: concat(RemedyTicket,","PrimDev,","ProjName)

this way I would get a filename that would read like this: "ticketnumber, primdevinfo, projectnametext".

What do I need to do to make this work?
