Patrick's post refers to a command in qRules that will submit form data to a SharePoint list. If you want to submit your full XML to a folder in your document library you need to use the "Change Submit URL - dynamically switch form library for SharePoint submit" command, you can specify the folder path. We have tested this command with specifying a folder within a library and works great.

Please check out qRules, I think it's going to be very helpful!

You could use qRules SubmitToSharePoint which lets you specify the SharePoint URL as a parameter in a rule. We are posting a free trial for the newest version (2.1) in a day or so. qRules is packed with other features and it's super cheap with a 30 day money back guarantee if you aren't fully satisfied. Qdabra pays for this free forum and this is how we make money to support the forum - by helping you save time. :)

Of course, the other option is to write code yourself that does this - it would probably be 10-20 lines. We could do it for you but it's cheaper to get qRules and coding in the form is a bad practice because it costs more to maintain across separate XSNs.

Note: for advanced InfoPath hackers, you can modify the XSF to add xpath lookup for calculations and filter functions. However, unlike those (which can be manually added to the XSF) I don't think you can add an xpath parameter lookup to the URL in the XSF. Might be worth 10 minutes of trying though.

inserting a function into the document library url?

I have this document which many of our staff will have to fill out, the
document is stored on sharepoint document library. when a user clicks
the submit button the document gets saved. I need somehow to be able to
'tell' infopath to save the document in different directories depending
on who is submitting it. I have created folders for each manager so
when a staff member submits the form it will be saved in the
appropriate folder. For example if my manager was Mark and i filled out
the form it would have to go to the Marks folder. I know this could
easily be down with a function but infopath wont let me add a function
in the document library adress bar in the connection manager wizzard so
does anyone know any way around this ?
